How to make a duo tone contrast effect in photoshop

Hello friends, today I will show you, how to make this duo tone contrast effect, in photoshop

First of all, you need to open your image on your photoshop. After that, you need create a new adjustment layer, pressing this icon:

You can find that icon at the bottom of layers section

Click on that icon and chose the Black and white obtion (like in this image)

In the Black and white adjustment layer you need to play whit the reds and yellows sliders(because, that 2 specific colors are found in the composition of the skin), to increase the black and white contrast of your image.

Of course, there are other ways to convert the image to black and white and increase the contrast, but this is one of the easiest ways to do it. After you are happy with your contrast, you need to create a new adjustment layer (pressing the same icon, as above) named Solid Color

On this “adjustment panel”, you need chose your favorite color/ or color you want to use on your project. In my case, I chose that shade of red

When you happy whith your selection, press the OK button. Now you need to change the blending mode from Normal to Darken

Now it’s done. If you are not happy with the result, you can to return to black and white adjustment layer and modify the values or you can return to Solid color adjusment layer and change the color.
